Racing Alpha v1.0 Card Draws a Blank at Six Meetings
A Clean Sheet – But Not the Kind We Wanted
Saturday's racing across 48 races at Leopardstown, Bath, Musselburgh, Lingfield, Doncaster and Chester was a day for the layers. Racing Alpha's v1.0 card – which rates every race, not just a handful of tips – settled three selections, and all three came up short. The result: a -3.00pt loss, with no winners to soften the blow.
The three bets were Kaori (advised 7.00), Hebridean Nomad (8.60) and Credit Forgedd It (5.60). None threatened the frame in their respective contests. It happens. The model is designed to find value over the long run, and days like this are part of the process. We publish the full card – every race the AI rates – because the picture is always clearer when you see the whole canvas.
What Went Wrong
It's easy to second-guess after the event. Kaori, a consistent sort at around 7/1, perhaps found conditions too lively at Leopardstown. Hebridean Nomad was a speculative each-way play at Musselburgh and never got competitive. Credit Forgedd It, sent off a shade shorter than advised, didn't fire at Bath. No excuses – the model got it wrong on the day.
But note: three selections from 48 races is a deliberately small, selective set. The v1.0 card only flags plays where the edge exceeds a certain threshold. Yesterday that threshold didn't translate into winners. It's why we keep a public ledger at racingalpha.co.uk/performance – full transparency on every pick, win or lose.
Forward Look to Today's Racing
The AI is already crunching the data for today's cards. Sunday brings a fresh set of meetings, and the model will be blind to yesterday's results – that's the point. Value is there somewhere; we just need to find it. Head to racingalpha.co.uk/today for the full v1.0 card. No hype, no promises – just the numbers as the machine sees them.
Patience is a virtue in this game. One blank day doesn't change the method.
