No v1.0 Selections on 23rd September – A Blank Day for the Ratings
Yesterday's Racing in Review
Yesterday saw 36 races across five courses: Goodwood, Kempton (AW), Listowel, Perth, and Redcar. However, from a Racing Alpha v1.0 perspective, the card was unusually quiet. The model recorded 0 selections settled, resulting in a neutral 0.00pt profit.
This doesn't mean the racing was uneventful – there were plenty of competitive fields across the jumps and Flat cards. But for subscribers who rely on the v1.0 ratings, there were no active picks to follow. It's a reminder that our approach is data-driven and sometimes the numbers simply don't produce a strong enough angle for every race.
We pride ourselves on transparency. The full performance ledger is publicly available at racingalpha.co.uk/performance, where every selection, win, and loss is logged. No hiding – if the model has a quiet day, we say so.
What this means for the AI model
A blank day is not a cause for concern. The v1.0 system is designed to be selective, only flagging races where the edge is clear. Some days the filters are stricter than others. The model continues to learn and refine its approach.
Looking Ahead to Today's Racing
Today's cards are shaping up across the jumps and Flat. Racing Alpha's v1.0 ratings are already live for the day's action. Head over to racingalpha.co.uk/today to see which races the AI is focusing on.
We'll be back with a full breakdown of today's results tomorrow. Until then, keep following the ratings, and remember – it's a long-term game.
