Many A Star

“Many A Star did it well. With a horse of his age, especially at this sort of distance, when they're in good form it's best to keep rolling. He's a big horse and is taking his racing well. This track does really suit him as it gives him a long time to wind up. They went a strong gallop and he picked up a bit quicker than I thought he would, we were in front plenty long enough, but he's very game and it's a credit to Jamie [Osborne, trainer] and the team for keeping him in such good form - William Carver, jockey, talking to Sky Sports Racing.”

“The ground is challenging and did not really suit Many A Star but he ran really well. He struggled a bit to get out as they all came in very tight and when he got out he did not pick up as we'd have liked but on this ground the softer-ground horses did better - Jeffrey Hobby, owner.”

We just thought after that race that he'd run a few times and decided to give him a break and it's all come to fruition. He gained weight during the break and he's looking better now.
