Striking A Pose
Recorded his sixth hurdle win when making all off a reduced mark at Newton Abbot (3m2f, good) in April, and his follow-up bid off this mark was respectable back there 20 days ago; capable off this mark but not without risk.

From the connections
“Striking A Pose is rated 130 so he was supposed to win like that. He's a nice chap and a gorgeous-looking horse and it was nice to watch all the way round - his ears were pricked and he didn't put a foot wrong. I think 2m4f is perfect, he's got a bit of class about him so he's not short of speed. I'm sure he'll end up over 3m but this trip is fine on genuine soft ground. I don't think we'll step him up to three this season. We've got some options now, he's qualified for the EBF Final at Sandown in a couple of weeks. He's probably not an Albert Bartlett horse but he might be competitive at Sandown, or he could go to Aintree. I expect we'll lean to Sandown. He'll be a lovely chaser for next season - Joe Tizzard, assistant to trainer Colin Tizzard.”
“Striking A Pose has learnt his job over two miles and the form from Ascot looked quite nice. He's a point-to-point winner so stepping him up in trip worked a treat. He's a gorgeous-looking four-year-old and is a nice horse who's at the right end of the handicap who we hope will continue progressing through the ranks. He'll go over fences next season and he won't run again until the new year. - Joe Tizzard, assistant trainer”
