“We were hoping we would get in. There was a lot of boxes ticked for Steps In The Sand. She had a lovely draw. We had a man who had won twice on her before taking seven off and the ground had tightened up nicely. It was drying all the time and that's what she needs. We were really impressed with her the last day, winning over a mile and a half, which is probably as short as she would want. We thought coming today that she was better than she was going to Ballinrobe for whatever reason. She was on the inside and it was looking a little bit tricky at one point but Paddy [McGettigan] was very cool on her and he was good value for his seven. He is going places, that young man. She was up in grade today. She is going to be still in the 70 bracket so she will go for something like this again or maybe over 2m on the Flat. She has the hurdles option as well so she will be running away now while the ground is decent - Ciaran Murphy, trainer.”
