Storm Heart
Three-time winner over hurdles has a 1-5 record on the level in France, winning over 1m4f on good ground; a bit below his best at Punchestown last time when seventh of 17 in a Listed handicap hurdle; interesting contender but others preferred.

From the connections
“It was a tough performance. I didn't know how well I was going for much of the race, to be honest. When I got Storm Heart out and set about him, he stuck it out really well and he got a good jump at the last when he needed it. He's now starting to fulfil what I thought he might do as a novice because as a juvenile I stick with him a few times. It's nice for him to get his head in front. He seems versatile ground-wise and he handles that testing ground - Paul Townend, jockey.”
“He was coming here off a layoff and the others had race fitness on their side, but class kicked in late on and it was a good performance. There was a bit of tactics at the start, nobody wanted to go, so I said I would follow the pace setter and it developed as the race went on. A few good jumps down the straight and a bit of speed got Storm Heart there nicely. Probably even on today he has run a good few pounds below where his peak can be, so it will be interesting where Willie and the team in Gigginstown want to go but it's nice to have him winning again - Danny Mullins, jockey.”
“Storm Heart was very good. I didn't expect that and he is more than alright looking at that performance. His attitude was great and he loves jumping. I think there could be huge improvement in him - Willie Mullins, trainer.”
