“It's a very popular win from our point of view. We've been waiting for a long time but we always knew Sapphire Sirocco was a filly who would win one or two. She's the last produce of an elderly mare and she's been very fragile, so it's taken a while for us to get three good runs together. However, she's proven to be worthwhile and I would like to think there is more to come. Staying is her forte, being by Study Of Man and out of a Cape Cross mare, but unfortunately there's not a lot of two-mile races for her - Pat Phelan, trainer.”
