King Of Thebes fails to deliver as Racing Alpha tips go 0-1 on 51-race card

A quiet day for the AI – one tip, one loser

Yesterday was a reminder that even the sharpest models have off days. Racing Alpha tracked 51 races across seven meetings – Catterick, Chelmsford, Haydock, Musselburgh, Southwell and Chepstow – but our single free selection, King Of Thebes, failed to land at the advised 14.00 on the Betfair Exchange.

The 0-1 scoreline isn't what anyone wants, but transparency is part of the deal here. The full public ledger, warts and all, is always available at racingalpha.co.uk/performance for those who want to track the numbers.

What the AI saw – and what it didn't

King Of Thebes was the only play we flagged, and the model clearly saw something – a price that offered value based on its assessment of the race. On the day, that assessment didn't come good. It happens. The key is consistency over time, not one result.

The rest of the 51 races provided plenty of action, but no further AI tips were issued. That's by design: Racing Alpha only highlights selections when the data suggests a clear edge, not for the sake of volume.

Looking ahead to today's card

Today's racing is already loaded into the system. As ever, the model is scanning the declarations and market movements to identify where the value might lie. You can see today's picks, once live, at racingalpha.co.uk/today.

Expect a more substantial set of selections – the AI doesn't dwell on yesterday's losses. It recalibrates, refines, and looks for the next opportunity.
