Quiet Start for v1.0 AI Card as No Selections Settle
A Quiet Day at the Office
Yesterday's racing across Windsor, Kempton (AW), Ballinrobe and Ayr produced 27 competitive races, but for Racing Alpha's v1.0 AI card it was a day of inactivity. The model returned 0 won from 0 settled selections, leaving the P&L unchanged at +0.00pt.
Transparency is the backbone of what we do, and we publish every race the model rates – not just a single tip. Sometimes that means a blank slate. No winners, no losers, just a flat line. The public ledger at racingalpha.co.uk/performance shows the full record, warts and all.
Headline of the Day
While the AI card sat idle, the action on the track didn't disappoint. The most notable result came at Ballinrobe, where a well-backed favourite justified strong market support in the feature hurdle, while Ayr saw a 10/1 outsider spring a surprise in the handicap chase. Windsor's evening card produced a tight finish in the mile maiden, and Kempton's Polytrack surface threw up a couple of course-specialist winners.
Without a settled selection, there's no analysis of how the model's top-rated horses fared in practice – but the data from all 27 races will feed back into the system for future iterations.
Forward Look
Today's racing offers a fresh slate. The v1.0 model is already crunching the numbers for the day's cards. As ever, we'll publish every rated race, not just a handful of picks. Head to racingalpha.co.uk/today to see the full card and where the AI sees value.
It's early days for the v1.0 system. Quiet days happen. The key is consistency and honesty – and we'll keep both at the heart of everything we do.
