“I think having a hurdle in front of him was beneficial to Hatos and what pleased me was he ran right to the line, whereas in his bumper he was maybe a bit one-paced and weakened. He ground it out today when it got tough. He loves that ground, the heavier the better. I think it's important to him because he travels so easily on it. He could be a really nice two-mile heavy-ground chaser in the future. He's a lovely straightforward horse and we might go for a similar race with a penalty. We'll see where his hurdling takes us, but I love that two-mile heavy-ground chase division - Anthony Honeyball, trainer.”
