“Arabian Crown is a very uncomplicated horse and I think everyone will be pleased with that, I certainly was and it's quite testing out there. It's early in the season and they are entitled to improve. I would be as confident as you can be that he'll stay a mile and a half - William Buick, jockey. He's got to be the main Derby horse at the moment, although there are a few other irons in the fire. I don't know if he needs another run beforehand but if he did it would be Chester as York may be a bit close to the race - Alex Merriam, assistant trainer.”

“Arabian Crown as it stands and on pedigree has more of a Derby profile. We will be going down more of the Derby route, and he could be a Dante horse or one we look at one of the other Derby trials. He is a very hard horse to assess this fellow as he is not a work horse. James (Doyle) rode him in work last week and he was out at the back of the gallop, whereas Ancient Wisdom does travel and he has a bit more natural pace. This horse has won a Listed race and won a Group Three and I will put him away now for the year. One of our two previous Derby winners was a decent two-year-old winning the Solario Stakes in Masar, and this fellow has a slightly different profile. He has a pedigree that suggests stepping up to the mile and a half as a three-year-old will suit him. He is an exciting horse there is no doubt about it - Charlie Appleby, trainer.”

“Arabian Crown has stepped forward nicely from his first run and it's nice for him to step forward and get his head in front. He handled the ground, its proper soft ground so he's never going to look electric on it. Stepping up to a mile would probably suit him in time. He's seen that out well and just speaking to Charlie (Appleby) there he mentioned stepping up to Listed level over a mile at Haydock next. He's done nothing wrong, he's a very straightforward Dubawi and he has been doing everything nicely. William mentioned that in future he will definitely be running over further - Alex Merriam, assistant trainer.”
