Special Dividend
Won last summer on first two starts (6f, AW) then kept on for third of 18 in nursery at York (7f, good to firm) that worked out nicely; well beaten in Newmarket Group 3 (7f, good) on final 2yo start (gelded since) but retains potential and he's worth a second look in a first-time tongue-tie.

From the connections
“We know the family well, we have the three-part brother Dividend who has done really well for us. Special Dividend is a much bigger and stronger horse than where Dividend was last year. I didn't want to risk running him on quick ground first time out and it was a nice introduction on the all-weather, he did everything we hoped he would. Hollie [Doyle] said he got a little bit lonely in front and she went all the way down to the back of the back straight, she couldn't pull him up. I think he'd have won a bit further if he had anything around him. He's not your typical small, sharp two-year-old, he's a big scopey horse and weighs over 500kg. We don't want to push him too early - he could be really nice for us - Jamie Insole, joint-trainer.”
