From the connections
“That was great, a lovely pot to win for Alphecca. Ger [Kervick] gets his first homebred, so he's delighted. They took a chance running her back quickly from Killarney, but it paid dividends. She jumped, travelled and picked up and got to the line really strongly. A mile is probably her trip. She is a filly who I think will get black type next year. She is improving and I think there's more to come. When they beat her in Naas, she missed the break that day, but today she had the hang of the stalls and jumped well and she's very straightforward - Gary Carroll, jockey.”
