Stag Night
In fine form this season at the Curragh; third on seasonal reappearance (6f, heavy); 1.25l second behind Bodhi Bear on penultimate (5f, sft-hvy); won over 5f (soft) there on latest and the runner up has run well in Listed company since; 5lb rise fair and should be bang there again if the forecast rain materialises.

From the connections
“Stag Night deserved that, he's been consistent here this year. I must thank Brendan Curley who was in this morning fixing up his feet. I told Billy [Lee] to sit him in today and I'm glad he did the total opposite! He said he hit the gates really well and he said if he had pulled him back, he would have been wasting what he had already gotten. He had them all, bar one, stretched at halfway. He's a good, honest, old devil. The only thing that's stopping him are his feet. He's like a fella with bunions or something. He gets little sores on his feet and he backs off when the ground gets quicker. I think he'd like quicker ground but he can't handle it, he gets quarter cracks. We'll look for more of five furlongs here, because it's the best prize-money in the country. He likes it here so why not - Willie McCreery, trainer.”
“He burst through the stalls the last day. Stag Night never did anything like that before and we had to get him re-certed. I had him sold twice and he failed the vet. He has terrible feet so we don't run him on hard ground, and he has bad confirmation with his feet and gets quarter cracks. I think there is another race up the Curragh for him before the end of the season - Willie McCreery, trainer”
