“Partisan Hero showed some speed, and Dave [Loughnane, trainer] said he would. He enjoyed being on his own, but was looking for a bit of company late on and I just let him go, as I didn't want to interfere with his stride. He won well. It wasn't the plan to come stands' side - and I never really had one. I was thinking go straight but he only came across late on. He was getting a bit tired but stuck on well - Rab Havlin, jockey.”
“I didn't use my whip much as I was fairly confident Partisan Hero was doing enough the whole way up the straight. His last furlong was probably his best so he will be able to go up in trip. There should be improvement in him - Jake Coen, jockey, speaking on Racing TV.”
