Trustyourinstinct
Good form early last season, recording back-to-back wins here in today's event and Group 3 International Stakes over 1m2f; subsequent Leopardstown efforts were below best below best, as was last month's seasonal return here in 1m2f Group 3 Alleged Stakes dominated by two stablemates; entitled to come on for that.

“You can set your clock by Trustyourinstinct. He turns up and runs his race everyday. He is a multiple stakes winner and he loves the Curragh. He won at the track on Guineas weekend and he backed it up here up in class and down in trip with a penalty. It wasn't an easy task today. I thought he was impressive and I think that run is right up there with his best. When he won the last day he needed to fight out the finish but today he showed a turn of foot off the turn and Dylan [Browne McMonagle, jockey] said he felt really sharp off the bend. It was a smart performance and he is going the right way. I imagine the horse will travel somewhere in the Autumn whether it is to Kentucky for the mile and half, million and half dollar race or to Australia. To be quite honest a horse like him has loads of options for good pots and he's a gelding so we will be looking all the big prize money options in the Autumn. He won over hurdles but he wasn't the most natural jumper. He has really found his niche now - Joseph O'Brient, trainer.”
“Trustyourinstinct is a lovely horse, very consistent and loves it here at the Curragh. I'm delighted to have a nice winner for JP. He's a home-bred of JP and Noreen's and everybody will get an extra kick out of that. He always turns up and runs his race. He was behind Los Angeles here the last day, it was a very credible run, and dropping down into Listed class today he's won impressively. He's well enough handicapped over hurdles but he doesn't really jump with great fluency. He'll probably stick to the Flat. He's a very solid Listed/Group 3 horse and he pays his way every year. We've ran him internationally a few times as well and we might look at that again at a later date. He particularly loves the Curragh and it's not a bad place to have a rapport with. - Joseph O'Brien, trainer.”
“We weren't sure about the mile-and-a-half trip as his best runs had been at ten but Trustyourinstinct really got the trip well. He qualifies for a lot of big pots around the world as we get into the autumn so he could potentially end up in a race internationally - Joseph O'Brien, trainer.”
“Trustyourinstinct was a classy enough horse on the flat and it's probably taken him a while to get his act together over hurdles. It was a weak race and so we just kept it simple - Simon Torrens, rider”
“Trustyourinstinct looks a nice horse. We thought he'd run well and he'll have learned a lot. He was green in the middle of the race there but I thought he went to the line well. It was a good performance on debut - Joseph O'Brien, trainer.”
