Wemightakedlongway
Last season's best performances came in Group 1s when runner-up in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh (1m4f, good) and very close fourth in the Prix de l'Opera at Longchamp (1m2f, very soft); flopped on last month's reappearance at Cork, which is disconcerting, but she's a leading player if leaving that performance behind in first-time cheekpieces.

From the connections
“Wemightakedlongway is a good filly and I thought her last run, finishing behind Delacroix, was really good for a first run back. We were looking at going to Chester but when the drop of rain came, we decided to come here and she has won impressively. I have campaigned her aggressively and she ran against colts on both of her last two runs. She's a smart filly. The Pretty Polly at the Curragh is the race we're really building towards. She's out of a No Nay Never mare, so she just wouldn't be guaranteed to go a mile and a half. We'll see whether we look at Epsom or whether we look at something else before the Pretty Polly - Joseph O'Brien, trainer.”
