Mondammej
Veteran with a mind of his own and refused to leave the parade ring on last intended start in November; however, perfectly capable of a big run off this mark and he's gone well fresh in the past.

From the connections
“You can just see that Mondammej has absolutely thrived since he's had it (wind operation). He's very well behaved now, he's getting manageable. He probably travelled far too well today over the six furlongs and the line came just in time - Cam Hardie, jockey, speaking to Sky Sports Racing.”
“Thankfully Mondammej was well behaved today with all the hiccups in the stalls. He had a nice gallop to aim at and he came alive around halfway. He loves it here and it was just a case of waiting for the gaps to open and pushing the button on him - Cam Hardie, jockey, speaking to Sky Sports Racing.”
“Mondammej deserved to win another one as he's gone close in a few big sprints. The ground was too sticky at Doncaster as he's a top of the ground horse. There's the six-furlong Coral Sprint at York in three weeks' time if the ground is right - Antony Brittain, trainer.”
“The first time we ran Mondammej he was probably a little but green but still travelled well and got the job done smartly. We ran him a couple times after and he just started getting a bit hot-headed so we had to try a few different things. He absolutely ran away with me one day at Newcastle. He's a bit of a ticking time bomb and was being a handful in the stalls but today he was absolutely pitch perfect, he settled lovely through the races and we think a lot of him. He was climbing a bit on the grass, it's a new experience for him but he'll improve for that and I'm glad we're getting his head in the right place. You'd like to see him take on some of these big handicaps. I know he had a low weight today but he's done it easily enough. He has the potential it's just keeping a lid on him - Cam Hardie, jockey.”
