From the connections
“Gazelle D'Or is a different filly over five furlongs. She just runs too keen over the six. She was a little bit unlucky in the Scurry and the last day. She's a hardy filly and I'd like to try and get a bit of black type with her. There are no five-furlong races but I might look at the Listed race next weekend [Brigid's Pastures Stakes]. I might look at taking her to France next year. She seems to want an ease in the ground - Michael Grassick, trainer.”
“She likes passing horses. We went a good gallop today and Gazelle D'Or wasn't travelling great so I had no choice but to lie into her and hope the pace would quench and it did. When we started passing a few she came home smart - Wayne Lordan, jockey, speaking to Racing TV.”
“I think Gazelle D'or has done very well to win that. The whole thing today was about just switching her off and getting her to come home good. She travelled lovely the whole way and, just when she got there, she just idled a small bit underneath me - Jack Cleary, rider.”
